Jesse Bethune has been involved in theatre arts for most of his life. Jesse was bit by the acting bug at the young age of 8 when he played “Onion” in a Cub Scout’s play about vegetables. He hasn’t looked back since.  Over the years, Jesse has been involved as either a stage manager or as an actor in over 40 productions. Jesse earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Stage Management from Riverside Community College in 1994. He then left school to participate in theatre all over Southern California and to live life. Jesse returned to college in 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from CSUN in 2008. He had such a great time at CSUN and learned so much, that he decided to stay at CSUN where he is currently working on a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre History and Literature. Jesse currently teaches two undergraduate classes at CSUN as well as overseeing theatre production evaluations for current CSUN students who are working on CSUN productions. He hopes to eventually earn a PhD in Theatre so that he can be become a full-time college professor. Jesse is very excited about being a part of the Ovation Fellows.
