Day 2 of the Conference was intense! Someone in one of the sessions described it as a “homecoming,” which I think is absolutely correct. Day 2 was our first full day of sessions, and by the end of the day I was exhausted. I was happy, hopeful, hopeless, frustrated, and scared at various times throughout the day. We ate and ate and ate delicious Filipino food at dinner – all the makings of being at home. I argued with elders whom I embraced afterwards. I’m trying to speak up when I want to question something, because this is the place to do it, isn’t it?
