The Professional Artists Lab and the California NanoSystems Institute present the University of California’s 4th Round of the STAGE International Script Competition with a $10,000 prize to be given to the winning playwright.
The submitted plays must explore scientific and/or technological stories, themes, issues or events, and authors are highly encouraged to submit multi-media theatre pieces, non-traditional plays and new forms. Current and previous STAGE judges include Pulitzer, Tony, Olivier and Nobel-winning judges David Auburn, John Guare, David Lindsay-Abaire, Sir Anthony Leggett and Dr. Douglas Osheroff.
In addition to receiving the $10,000 prize, the winner of the Scientists, Technologists and Artists Generating Exploration (STAGE) Competition may also be given the opportunity to further develop and promote their winning script.
