As an Ovation Award Nominee, LA Stage asked Sarah the following questions:
What was the moment that first inspired you to pursue working in the theatre?
When I was a little girl I watched the movie version of Peter Pan with Mary Martin until the tape burned out.
What do you feel made the production you were nominated for particularly successful, either overall or for you specifically?
Good leadership has a domino effect. MTW’s Executive Director Paul Garman is a terrific Producer and the cast of people put together by Artistic Director, Steve Glaudini, were fantastic!
What project or projects are you currently working on?
Currently, I am entering Film Festivals with my first short film, “Planet Sun: The Tan-Fastic Adventures of Shay & Stay”, a comedy short which I wrote, produced and starred in.
What do you love most about theatre in Los Angeles?
The world-class caliber of talent it attracts. I just saw Anette Bening play Medea at UCLA. Does it get any better than that?!
What’s your dream project?
Writing/directing/starring in my own musical comedy films.
