News by Janet Thielke  |  August 8, 2009

The Early Bird Registration Deadline has been extended through September 24 for the National Arts Marketing and Development Conference: Thursday, October 8 – Sunday, October 11, 2009, presented by Arts Reach at the Millennium Biltmore hotel in Los Angeles. The overall theme for the conference is “Are You Ready for the Wave of Change?  Breakthrough Strategies for Growing Audiences, Donors, and Boards in the Coming Decade”

In addition to the early bird discount, members of LA Stage Alliance are entitled to a $120 discount. Also, when one person from your organization registers by July 31, another person gets to go for free to the Regular Conference and the Pre-Conference E-marketing Day.

Top arts marketers and fundraisers will be discussing trends, best practices, and ways to recession-proof your organization.  Breakouts during the Regular Conference will follow three tracks, with at least one breakout at any given time as part of the Arts Marketing Track, the Arts Development Track and the Theater Track. Delegates may follow a single track or “jump the track” as they please. Topics include corporate sponsorships, pricing, messaging, board growth, cultural tourism, audience development, donor acquisition and retention, research, design, budget controls, ticketing, and much more.
Also new this year will be a special Post-Conference Day titled “Revolution in the Board Room,” designed for staff members and their board members.
