Doing It On The Road
Touring Tips and Tools for Performing Arts
Thursday, May 14 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Highways Performance Space
at the 18th Street Arts Center

Highways Performance Space will host a free workshop for performing artists on Thursday May 14 from 4:00-6:00pm as part of the National Performance Network’s support of and service to performing artists. The workshop is being offered by the National Performance Network (NPN) in conjunction with Los Angeles NPN Partners Highways, Skirball Cultural Center, REDCAT and Int’l Latino Theater Festival of LA(FITLA) with support from the Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Division.

All over the country, contemporary performing artists are going outside their local communities, bringing their art to audiences eager to see new and innovative theater, dance, music, spoken word, and puppetry. Doing it on the Road: a Guide for Touring Performing Artists demystifies the touring process for artists who are interested in touring, are ready and have the capacity to tour, have already toured regionally or want to expand touring their work. Attending artists will receive a syllabus of touring tips and tools at the 2-hour session. Email Pam Roberts pam@npnweb.org for more information.

To reserve space at this workshop, please email Patrick Kennelly atadmin@highwaysperformance.org. This program is supported in part by a grant from the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Division.
